In anticipation of the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, scheduled for early 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday launched a comprehensive 'Kumbh Summit' tour across all 18 divisions of the state. The initiative began in Lucknow and will wrap up on December 14 in Prayagraj.

The Maha Kumbh, a significant religious event held every 12 years, will span from January 14 to February 26. Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh announced the summit's array of events, including 'Bal-Yuva' Kumbh, 'Kala-Sanskriti' Kumbh, 'Kavi' Kumbh, and 'Bhakti' Kumbh, providing a cultural platform for local artists and students.

The summit involves extensive coordination from educational departments to raise awareness about Kumbh traditions among schoolchildren. Various cultural activities, including art competitions overseen by the Lalit Kala Akademi and music contests managed by the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi, will highlight the state's rich heritage. The event will culminate in important cultural centers, with significant stops including Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi and the North Central Zone Cultural Centre in Prayagraj.
