Caught in the throes of alleged internal strife, Congress leader Kumari Selja has stayed away from the Haryana assembly poll campaigning, leading to heavy criticism from the BJP. Union Minister Amit Shah accused Congress of revealing its 'anti-Dalit' face by sidelining Selja, a Dalit leader.
Selja, however, brushed off these remarks and reaffirmed her loyalty to Congress. 'I am a Congressperson and will remain one,' she stated firmly, dismissing any assertions of discontent as internal party matters. Selja plans to start her campaign on September 26.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders, including Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, have tried to woo Selja into their fold, further fueling political speculations. Selja criticized BJP's track record, accusing them of diverting attention from their own shortcomings in governance over the past decade.
