As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appears to be on the verge of securing a third consecutive win in Haryana, the Congress party is voicing concerns over perceived irregularities in the Election Commission's vote count data.
According to Congress, there is a noticeable mismatch between the rounds counted and the data displayed on television. Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera pointed out that while 11 rounds have been counted, the Election Commission is only showing data for the 4th or 5th round. Khera suggested that there might be pressure on the local administration to delay data upload, noting that other regions receive live updates per round.
Jairam Ramesh, another senior Congress figure, echoed these concerns, questioning the slowing of updated trends on the Election Commission's website. The Congress's assertions come after an optimistic morning where early trends put them in the lead, with expectations of forming the government in Haryana and Jammu Kashmir. However, by noon, BJP candidates led in 48 of the 90 constituencies, altering the election narrative.
