The Election Commission has strongly objected to Congress leaders labeling Haryana's election results as 'unacceptable,' describing such comments as unprecedented within the country's democratic framework.
In communication with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, the EC underscored that statements from leaders like Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera verge on rejecting the electorate's voice, expressed lawfully through the election process.
Despite receiving statements from Kharge and Rahul Gandhi about the 'unexpected' results, the EC is set to meet with a Congress delegation, including those responsible for the contentious remarks, later today.
