Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange on Wednesday concluded his nine-day old fast, marking his sixth protest this year, in a bid to advocate for Maratha reservation under the OBC category.
Addressing his supporters at his native Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district, Jarange highlighted that he ended the fast considering the Maratha community's sentiments.
The Maharashtra legislature previously passed a bill in February, securing 10% reservation for Marathas in education and government jobs, yet Jarange remains unwavering in his demand for OBC status for his community.
