Senior Congress leader Kumari Selja met with party chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday, reaffirming her dedication to the party amidst speculation about her possibly joining the BJP.

Selja shared images from the meeting on social media, capturing Kharge offering sweets to celebrate her birthday.

'My heartfelt gratitude for the love and good wishes received from Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge on my birthday today,' she expressed in her post, alongside several photos from the meeting.

Prominent leaders, including her rival and former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, extended birthday wishes to Selja.

Following the meeting with Kharge, Selja disclosed that her major concerns had been addressed, leading to her announcement of actively campaigning for the upcoming Haryana polls.

Responding to rumors of discord over ticket distribution, Selja emphasized party unity and asserted, 'We will together form the government.'

Confronted with reports about the BJP's attempts to woo her, Selja reinforced her commitment to Congress, insisting, 'The BJP is probably more concerned. There are many things that go around within the party.'

She concluded by announcing her imminent campaign for the Haryana elections, expressing confidence in a Congress victory.

'Since I was silent, they (the BJP) started talking, but there is no such thing; they also know it. Everyone knows Selja is a Congressi,' she stated firmly.

As the BJP continues to criticize the Congress over alleged infighting, Selja reaffirmed her loyalty and intention to bolster the party's efforts on the ground.
