BJP MP Anurag Thakur issued a strong rebuke against the Congress party regarding its criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States. Thakur stated that opposition from Congress' ecosystem is detrimental to national acceptance, especially when PM Modi represents 140 crore Indians on a global stage.
Thakur argued that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's actions align with anti-India sentiments, drawing comparisons between Gandhi's rhetoric and that of Pakistan's Defence Minister. Thakur suggested that Gandhi's affinity for controversial factions undermines national interests.
Meanwhile, Congress' Jairam Ramesh questioned PM Modi's decision to prioritize a high-profile international visit amid domestic crises, particularly in Manipur. Despite criticism, PM Modi is set to participate in the Quad Leaders' Summit in Delaware and engage with US President Joe Biden and other leaders, signifying the strong India-US strategic partnership.
