In a sharp rebuttal to Rahul Gandhi's remarks on unemployment during his US visit, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday decried the Opposition Leader's comments as anti-India and accused him of favoring China. BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that Gandhi's statements were rife with falsehoods and aimed at dividing Indian society.

'Rahul Gandhi is so eager to bat for China and he has a habit of insulting India,' Bhandari remarked, highlighting China's youth unemployment rate to counter Gandhi's claims. 'He attacks the Indian legal system merely because he is out on bail and predicts social tension as part of his divide-and-rule strategy,' he added, accusing Gandhi of undermining India's interests.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized Gandhi for his foreign statements that appeared to praise China's economic progress over India's. He claimed, 'Rahul Gandhi seems to thrive on China's money and is branding China while going abroad. If PM Modi had not protected the Constitution, cases of treason would have been registered against such behavior.'
