Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, accusing them of promising to release terrorists and stone-pelters.
Addressing an election rally in Ramban district, Shah assured that the Narendra Modi-led government would prioritize youth who carry laptops and the tricolour, while those wielding guns would be jailed. He also criticized the NC and the PDP for advocating dialogue with Pakistan and cross-border trade, stressing these would not resume until terrorism is eradicated.
Shah emphasized that a white paper would be issued post-elections to account for the lives lost to terrorism in the past 35 years, and pledged jobs to support the region's youth. His speech marked the final day of campaigning for party candidates Rakesh Singh Thakur and Mohammad Saleem Bhat.
