The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) late Tuesday released its third list of 11 candidates for the Haryana assembly elections.

Earlier in the day, the party had issued its second list of nine candidates, neither of which included Haryana AAP president Sushil Gupta.

The AAP's first list of 20 candidates was revealed on Monday amid unsuccessful seat-sharing talks with the Congress. In total, the party has declared candidacies for 40 out of the assembly's 90 seats.

In its third list, the AAP nominated Pravin Guskhani to compete against former Haryana chief minister and Congress heavyweight Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency. Other notable mentions include Bheem Singh Rathi from Radaur, Amar Singh from Nilokheri, and Amit Kumar from Israna.

Additional candidates comprise Mahender Dahiya from Jhajjar, Satish Yadav from Rewari, and Col (retd) Rajendra Rawat from Hathin. The deadline for filing nomination papers is set for September 12 with elections scheduled on October 5.

It's important to note that during the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had granted a single seat to AAP in Haryana, where it had an unsuccessful run. The 2019 Haryana polls saw AAP contest 46 seats but fall short of securing any.
