The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has distanced itself from derogatory comments made by senior party leader Vikar Rasool Wani about its alliance partner, National Conference (NC).

JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra issued a strong condemnation of the remarks and the unsanctioned language used by Wani during a program in Banihal. Karra emphasized that such statements are unacceptable and contradict the principles of democratic discourse.

Reaffirming the alliance with NC, Karra stated, 'We have great respect for late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah, respected political leaders of J&K. We remain united in our fight against the BJP's divisive politics to protect the dignity and rights of J&K's people.'
