In a critical development ahead of Haryana's assembly elections, AAP's state chief Sushil Gupta issued an ultimatum regarding an electoral alliance with Congress. Speaking on Monday, Gupta indicated that without timely confirmation from the Congress high command, the party will announce candidates for all 90 seats by evening.

Gupta emphasized AAP's preparedness to contest independently in all constituencies, underscoring their readiness to unveil candidate names. Notably, the AAP and Congress have been in ongoing discussions to form an alliance, with only three days remaining before the filing deadline for nominations.

On Sunday, AAP MP Raghav Chadha highlighted mutual optimism for an alliance following a productive meeting with AICC's Haryana in-charge, Deepak Babaria. Chadha assured that a decision would be made before the September 12 nomination deadline.

Chadha refrained from commenting on specific seats but noted a shared desire to form a coalition, emphasizing positive dialogues and a focus on beneficial outcomes for Haryana's electorate.

Post-meeting, Babaria conveyed hopes for an imminent resolution, citing multiple discussions with Chadha. He mentioned potential changes in pre-announced candidates, stressing a win-win need for both parties. The electoral process stipulates voting on October 5, with results declared on October 8.
