Congress MP Kumari Selja has sharply criticized the BJP following the release of its candidate list for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Selja labeled the list as indicative of the BJP's desperation and questioned the party's selection process and leadership performance.

Selja argued that after a decade in power, the BJP is struggling to field strong candidates, forcing the party to rely on outsiders. 'The list reflects their frustration. They haven't secured quality candidates, and now people are leaving them,' she said. Selja also pointed out the absence of senior leaders and questioned why the Chief Minister, despite winning a seat with a good margin four months ago, is contesting from another seat.

Regarding her candidacy, Selja stated that the decision would be made by the party's high command. Notable names in the BJP's list include Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, contesting from Ladwa, Gian Chand Gupta from Panchkula, and Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt. The Haryana Assembly elections will be held on October 5, with vote counting on October 8, following a date revision by the Election Commission of India.
