Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) impending victory in the forthcoming state assembly elections. Lal announced that the BJP is poised to form a majority government in Haryana for the third consecutive term. We will fight the elections well and form the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Haryana for the third time. Our government is going to be formed with a majority in Haryana, he asserted.

The BJP unveiled its first list of 67 candidates for the Haryana assembly elections today, following extensive deliberations. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is set to contest from the Ladwa constituency. The list includes prominent figures such as Gian Chand Gupta, former state home minister Anil Vij, Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Sunita Duggal, Bhavya Bishnoi, and Tejpal Tanwar. Gupta will contest from Panchkula, Vij from Ambala Cantt, Gurjar from Jagadhri, Duggal from Ratia, Bishnoi from Adampur, and Tanwar from Sohna. Additionally, former jailer Sunil Sangwan, who recently joined the BJP, received a ticket for the Dadri constituency. Lal mentioned that the remaining seats will be announced soon.

Addressing Congress's position, Lal remarked, Congress's weakness is evident. Until yesterday, neither AAP nor Congress were prepared to ally, but now they are coming together with other parties. This alliance's character will be revealed, leading to chaos and infighting, benefiting the BJP. The Haryana assembly elections for the 90-member legislative body are scheduled for October 5, with nominations closing on September 12. The Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling date from October 1 to October 5, and the vote counting date from October 4 to October 8.
