Sujeet Kumar, former BJD Rajya Sabha MP, officially joined the BJP in a notable political shift on Friday. This move followed his expulsion from the BJD for alleged anti-party activities, and his subsequent resignation from the Rajya Sabha.

Kumar made this decision public at a joint press conference in Delhi, standing alongside senior BJP leaders. He claimed his decision was driven by disappointment with corruption in Odisha's Kalahandi district and was motivated by admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development vision for India and Odisha.

Reaffirming his commitment to national progress, Kumar thanked BJP's leadership and expressed his eagerness to work towards making India a developed nation by 2047.
