In the wake of the BJP releasing its initial list of 67 candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections, significant political upheaval has ensued within the party. Sitting MLA Lakshman Dass Napa and former minister Karan Dev Kamboj have resigned, citing their exclusion from the candidate list as the primary reason.
Napa, who represents the Ratia reserve constituency in Fatehabad district, met with former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Delhi, announcing his intention to join Congress. He expressed his confusion and disappointment over the party's decision to deny him a re-nomination.
Additionally, Ranjit Singh Chautala and other notable party members have expressed dissatisfaction. The BJP's strategy of favoring new entrants over long-standing members has led to unrest, complicating their campaign ahead of a tough battle against the resurgent Congress in the upcoming October elections.
