Confirming negotiations with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the forthcoming Haryana Assembly elections, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria, revealed on Wednesday that discussions are also underway with other INDIA bloc partners like the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Samajwadi Party.

'Currently, we are engaged in talks with the AAP. Additionally, CPI(M) and the Samajwadi Party have approached us,' Babaria stated. 'They seek to make a significant impact in the state. We are also identifying seats suitable for both parties.' Earlier today, AAP MP Raghav Chadha was spotted departing Babaria's residence following a meeting regarding the electoral alliance.

AAP Haryana state president Sushil Gupta confirmed ongoing discussions, noting, 'Every AAP worker will adhere to the high command's decision. We are contesting the elections across all 90 assembly seats with full strength, aiming to unseat the BJP government.'

Sources indicate that during a recent Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting, Rahul Gandhi consulted Haryana Congress leaders about a potential alliance with AAP. While Arvind Kejriwal has announced AAP's intent to contest all 90 seats independently, the elections will be conducted in a single phase on October 5, with vote counting on October 8.
