BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday accused the National Conference (NC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) of garnering support from ex-militants for the upcoming assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir (J-K). Madhav alleged that these parties aimed to revert the Union territory to its troubled past.
Addressing the media, Madhav singled out the Abdullah and Mufti families, urging the public to reject them. He emphasized the significance of supporting new leadership committed to peace and development. Madhav also welcomed former members of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami into the electoral process, emphasizing inclusivity in democracy.
The BJP general secretary announced that key BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would campaign in J-K. Madhav expressed confidence that the BJP would emerge as the single largest party in the assembly elections.
