Delhi's election authorities have taken decisive action by filing police complaints against seven suspects accused of forging identification documents to unlawfully secure voter ID cards ahead of February's assembly elections.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has called for FIRs against two individuals in the Bindapur area and four in Dwarka for allegedly using fraudulent means, particularly tampered documents, in voter registration applications.

An additional FIR was filed in Narela, as part of efforts to curb illegal attempts to manipulate the electoral roll. Authorities emphasize the grave nature of these offenses under the Representation of the People Act, 1950, urging quick investigation to prevent further fraud.
