Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has condemned the rise in violence in Maharashtra, attributing it to provocative speeches by political figures, including BJP MLA Nitesh Rane.
In a letter addressed to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chaturvedi cited incidents such as the attack on a 72-year-old Muslim man over beef allegations and the sexual assault on young girls in Badlapur as instances that have shaken the state's conscience.
Chaturvedi called for immediate action and the implementation of the Maharashtra Shakti Criminal Law to ensure safety and security for all citizens.
