The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, met with a delegation from the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and leaders from Singapore's Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in Abu Dhabi. Led by Kadir Maideen Mohammed, the delegation explored collaborative efforts for promoting values of tolerance and coexistence.

Abdelsalam lauded Singapore's exemplary model of diversity and coexistence and praised MUIS for its work in organizing Islamic affairs. He emphasized the Muslim Council of Elders' dedication to fostering global communication among Muslims and highlighted initiatives such as the Document on Human Fraternity and the Emerging Peacemakers Forum.

Kadir Maideen Mohammed expressed gratitude for the Muslim Council of Elders' role in promoting moderate thought and empowering youth. He reminisced about the positive reception of the Grand Imam's visit to Singapore in 2018 and stressed the importance of initiatives like 'Religions for Development and Peace' in bolstering the role of religious leaders in development and peace efforts.
