PDP spokesperson Tahir Sayeed has resigned from the party just before the Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir. Sayeed, who served as media analyst in the chief minister's office under Mehbooba Mufti, made the announcement on social media.
'With heavy heart I end my ten years of association with @JKPDP. I wish @MehboobaMufti Sahiba and party all the very best,' Sayeed wrote on X. His resignation comes shortly after Chief Spokesperson Suhail Bukhari left the party to join Congress.
The Jammu and Kashmir elections are slated to occur in three phases: September 18, September 25, and October 1, with the vote count scheduled for October 8.
