In a startling incident on Saturday, police arrested a man who reportedly attempted to manhandle Union Minister Giriraj Singh during a public session, 'Janta Darbar,' in Bihar's Begusarai.
The accused approached Singh, submitting a petition and later protesting loudly when his request was denied. Singh's supporters subdued the man before he was handed over to authorities.
Superintendent of Police Maneesh confirmed the man is in custody and under investigation. Despite the disturbing episode, Singh stated he remains undeterred by such attacks and pointed to growing communal tensions.
