Police in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against 122 supporters of Shiv Sena (UBT) and BJP following a clash at Rajkot fort during Aaditya Thackeray's visit, officials reported on Thursday.

The FIR names 42 individuals identified from CCTV footage, while the identities of the remaining 80 accused are still under investigation. Authorities are closely examining the footage to ascertain each individual's involvement in the incident, said an official. The case encompasses charges of rioting and disobedience of prohibitory orders, based on a complaint from an injured police personnel.

To date, no arrests have been made. A forensic team assessed the site on Thursday. The confrontation began when Aaditya Thackeray (Shiv Sena UBT) and BJP MP Narayan Rane, accompanied by their supporters, simultaneously arrived at the Malvan fort on Thursday. The fracas follows the collapse of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Monday, igniting a significant political dispute in Maharashtra.
