Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday criticized the Congress for allying with the National Conference in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. According to Yadav, this move could bring back anarchy in the Union Territory.

The elections, scheduled in three phases on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with results announced on October 4, mark the first since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah announced the pre-poll alliance with Congress.

Yadav questioned whether Congress supports a separate flag for J&K and the reintroduction of Article 370, suggesting the alliance aims to create anarchy for vote banks. He further accused Congress of neglecting Dalit, Gurjar, Bakarwal, and Pahadi community reservations and called on Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to explain the alliance.
