National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has renewed his commitment to the long-standing struggle for Article 370, an integral part of his party's political ideology. Speaking to ANI, Abdullah noted that it took the BJP decades to revoke Article 370.

'Article 370 and the special status of J&K are core to the National Conference's beliefs. We will not surrender on this issue,' said Abdullah. 'It will take several government changes at the center before any progress can be made. The BJP took decades to achieve this, and we are not naive to think it can be undone in just five years,' he stated.

Abdullah also emphasized that the National Conference's manifesto prioritizes governance and development. 'We are not fighting elections solely on Article 370. Our manifesto focuses on jobs, social welfare, electricity, water, and free education,' he explained. Additionally, Abdullah pointed out that the BJP's rise from having only 2 MPs in 1984 to its current position was a lengthy process. 'A court decision can be reversed. This assembly aims to set the foundation for corrections to be made over the next years,' he concluded. (ANI)
