Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has sharply criticized BRS leader K T Rama Rao for opposing the installation of a statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in front of the state Secretariat complex. Reddy reiterated that his government would proceed with its decision.
During an event commemorating Rajiv Gandhi's 80th birth anniversary, Reddy announced that the statue would be unveiled soon and dared BRS leaders to hinder its installation. He also accused the BRS of retaining arrogance despite losing power.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao responded by vowing to remove the statue if his party regains power. Reddy also criticized the BRS for failing to install a 'Telangana Thalli' statue for the last decade but promised its installation on December 9.
