Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday introduced the 'Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana', emphasizing the presence of societal enemies hindering progress. He noted that the scheme could have been implemented a year ago if not for these obstacles.

The initiative was launched by transferring an honorarium of one thousand rupees via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to women. Soren expressed his ongoing concern for women facing challenges in the state, attributing delays to detractors disrupting beneficial efforts. 'We did not give up despite these challenges,' he asserted.

Additionally, Soren referenced political pressures, mentioning his arrest and the ongoing influence of opposition groups. The context gains political tension as assembly elections draw near, with speculation about senior leader Champai Soren potentially joining BJP. Champai Soren, feeling insulted, has left all options open for the upcoming polls and has voiced past grievances.
