Union Minister JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party on Saturday, alleging its involvement in the MUDA scam, and accusing it of continuing its legacy of corruption. Nadda pointed to previous scandals, such as the National Herald case, to underscore his claims of the party betraying public trust.
In a social media post, Nadda stated, "From National Herald to the MUDA Scam in Karnataka, the Congress Party's history with corruption is well-documented. Time and again, they have betrayed the trust of the people for personal gain." He accused Congress of hypocrisy, particularly for portraying itself as a guardian of Dalits and minorities while allegedly being involved in exploiting a Dalit family for land.
On the same day, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot approved the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah concerning the MUDA scam, as reported by Raj Bhavan sources. Siddaramaiah, backed by his cabinet and party high command, announced plans to legally challenge the Governor's decision, insisting that all actions taken were lawful.
