Nepal's Foreign Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Ties with India
Nepal's new Foreign Minister, Arzu Deuba Rana, will embark on a five-day official visit to India starting Sunday. The visit, at the invite of India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, aims to foster bilateral relations and discuss cooperation. Rana's trip includes a follow-up health checkup.

Nepal's new Foreign Minister Arzu Deuba Rana will embark on a five-day official visit to India starting Sunday. During her visit, she will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties and promote cooperation, according to the foreign ministry.
The visit, which spans from August 18 to 22, comes at the invitation of Jaishankar, the ministry said. It marks Rana's first official overseas trip since assuming office and aims to build on the age-old, deep, and multifaceted relations between Nepal and India, the statement added.
The visit follows a recent high-level visit by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi highlighted Nepal as a priority partner under its Neighbourhood First policy. The visit also includes a routine health checkup for Rana at a private hospital in New Delhi.
