Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli confirmed the progress but emphasized that efforts are still underway to tackle two additional fires.

The wildfires erupted earlier this week in Canakkale, Bolu, and Manisa provinces. A fourth fire ignited late Thursday in Izmir. Yumakli reported that the Canakkale fire is now under control, while the Manisa blaze is partially contained. Meteorological forecasts show high risk for the next three days, heightening the urgency of ongoing containment efforts.

Footage aired by Turkish broadcasters reveals black smoke and flames over vast tracts of land. Governors of the affected provinces have evacuated several neighborhoods as a precaution but reported no immediate threat to residential areas. Authorities remain on high alert due to high temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds.
