Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led government, alleging that today's rulers are fostering divisive mindsets and using 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' to spread hatred. His remarks came during his address at the AICC headquarters on the eve of India's 78th Independence Day.

Kharge condemned the RSS, accusing the Sangh Parivar of leveraging the Britishers' divide-and-rule policy for their own benefit. He stressed that many made sacrifices for India's independence, and criticized current leaders for not following the path set by freedom fighters.

Kharge urged Congress workers to engage with the public on critical issues such as unemployment, inflation, and corruption, and vowed that the party will continue to fight for social, economic, and political justice. Former Congress chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were also present at the event.
