Joy conveyed his thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for safeguarding his mother and underlined the Awami League's commitment to its people. He highlighted the necessity for international efforts to ensure security for Awami League leaders and the stabilization of the region.

With Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus set to head an interim government, Joy emphasized the importance of a level playing field for elections. He dismissed claims of Hasina seeking asylum and reiterated that the Mujib family would stand by their people during the crisis.
