Bangladesh in Turmoil: Hasina's Ouster Sparks Nationwide Violence

Bangladesh has plunged into turmoil following the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with at least 232 people reported killed in outbreaks of violence across the country, according to Prothom Alo newspaper.
Hasina resigned and fled the country amid widespread student protests against her administration. The death toll has reached 560 since anti-quota demonstrations began in mid-July.
Security concerns have escalated as police abstain from work due to safety fears. Newly appointed Inspector General of Police Md. Mainul Islam has urged police to return to duty to restore order. Meanwhile, two Awami League leaders were detained while attempting to leave the country.
