The Indian government has convened an urgent all-party meeting to address the escalating crisis in Bangladesh, sources revealed.
The meeting, scheduled for 10 am at Parliament House, will see External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar provide a detailed briefing to various party leaders about the ongoing situation in the neighboring country.
Bangladesh is currently facing significant turmoil following widespread street protests over job quotas, which prompted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and seek refuge in India before heading to London, according to diplomatic sources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting on this issue on Monday.
