Ahead of the assembly session commencing on July 22, the opposition BJD, led by Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, convened a meeting to strategize on advocating effectively for the rights of the people.
Patnaik, during the BJD's legislature party meeting, discussed the new roles and responsibilities bestowed upon the party by the people of Odisha. All 51 BJD MLAs attended the meeting, underscoring the unified front of the party.
The BJD plans to raise several pressing issues, such as the price rise of essential items, alleged mismanagement during Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra, and various law and order concerns, including the assault on a government servant and a communal riot in Balasore. Patnaik directed the legislators to ensure full attendance and prioritize the state's interests above all.
