Addressing the media, Manoj Verma, additional director general of police (law and order), stated that no permissions were sought for the rally demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Verma revealed intelligence reports indicating potential disturbances during the event, assuring that police are prepared to manage the situation and suggesting alternative venues for the rally.
