NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar called on the Maharashtra government to prioritize mutual understanding and cooperation to address the ongoing quota issue between Marathas and OBCs. Addressing the media, Pawar took a swipe at NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal for his unscheduled visit, depicting it as a sign of internal discord.

Pawar elaborated on the recent meeting with Bhujbal, who had earlier supported Ajit Pawar's faction. Bhujbal reportedly sought Pawar's intervention to present a balanced state picture. The NCP (SP) chief emphasized the necessity of full disclosure from the government about commitments made to key activists like Manoj Jarange and OBC leader Laxman Hake.

Pawar criticized the state government for sidelining the opposition in crucial discussions, urging them to inform all parties involved about any resolutions. He underscored the importance of transparent communication to avoid further complications in the quota dispute.
