Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday reiterated India's commitment to countering Pakistan-sponsored terrorism following a deadly attack in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed the lives of four soldiers.
The attack in Doda district resulted in the death of four army personnel, including a captain. Sarma assured a stringent response to maintain peace in the region.
On a two-day visit to Jharkhand, Sarma praised BJP workers for their role in Narendra Modi's re-election and criticized Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren for corruption and neglecting tribal issues. He also called for legislation to prevent the displacement of tribal communities by Bangladeshi infiltrators.
