Following a decisive victory in the recent Assembly by-elections across seven states, Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Saturday declared that the INDIA bloc will dominate all future elections, heralding the downfall of the BJP. 'In assembly by-polls held across seven states, the INDIA bloc won 10 seats while the BJP was wiped out,' Rai stated. 'The profound message from the INDIA bloc and the citizens is clear: we have triumphed in Ayodhya and now Badrinath. With divine blessings on the INDIA alliance and Congress, we will uproot the BJP from every corner.'

Commenting on the Centre's decision to observe June 25 as 'Samvidhan Hatya Divas,' Rai accused the BJP of misleading the public. 'The BJP is attempting to distract the people from real issues such as NEET, Agniveer, inflation, and unemployment,' he said. 'The public has voiced their discontent by voting for the INDIA bloc in these seven states.' The by-poll results were a blow to the BJP, which secured only two out of the 13 seats, as the INDIA bloc claimed 10 and an independent candidate in Bihar took the remaining seat.

The outcome marked a significant boost for Congress, which won two of three seats in Himachal Pradesh and two in Uttarakhand, bolstering the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government to 40 MLAs against BJP's 28. Polls were conducted on July 10 for assembly seats in Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.

Congress leader KC Venugopal criticized the BJP, asserting that the by-election results reflect a decisive victory for democracy and a denunciation of the BJP's divisive politics. In a statement, Venugopal said, 'Today's by-poll results are a triumph for democracy and a rebuke to the BJP's divisive tactics. The INDIA alliance's impressive win of 10 out of 13 seats underscores the rejection of the BJP's anti-people, anti-youth policies.'
