Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday lauded the Supreme Court's verdict that granted bail to AAP leader Manish Sisodia, terming it a 'triumph for democracy' and a 'defeat of dictatorship and injustice.'

The Supreme Court's decision in the corruption and money laundering cases tied to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam highlighted the extensive 17-month custody Sisodia endured. The court noted that his right to a speedy trial had been compromised.

Extending his gratitude to the top court, Soren congratulated the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, emphasizing that Sisodia's struggle will become a historic inspiration for future generations.
