As the nation celebrated its first National Space Day, commemorating the soft landing of ISRO's Chandrayaan-3, Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy acknowledged the crucial contributions of four Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to the lunar mission's success.

The minister praised these CPSEs—Instrumentation Ltd. (IL), Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), and Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT)—for supplying essential products that were integral to Chandrayaan-3's triumph.

Noting the collaborative spirit, Kumaraswamy asserted that National Space Day celebrates the dedication and hard work of ISRO's scientists along with the nation's industries. A year ago on this day, India's Chandrayaan-3 achieved a historic soft landing on the Moon's south pole. Prime Minister Narendra Modi named the landing site 'Shiv-Shakti Point' and declared August 23 as National Space Day.
