Sheikh Hasina, who recently stepped down as prime minister and fled Bangladesh amidst escalating unrest, will return to her country as soon as democratic order is restored. Her son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, voiced this optimism in an exclusive interview with PTI, also pointing to Pakistan's ISI as a factor behind the turmoil.

Joy, expressing deep appreciation for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's protection of his mother, urged India to play a pivotal role in building global pressure for the swift restoration of democracy in Bangladesh. He noted that while Hasina's return is certain, her role upon her return—retired or active politician—remains undecided.

Asserting the Awami League's unwavering commitment to the people of Bangladesh, Joy also pressed the interim government led by Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus to reestablish law and order. He criticized violent protests and called for creating a fair political environment for future elections.
