According to a bi-annual Asian American Voter Survey, there has been a 19% decline in support for President Joe Biden among Indian Americans from the 2020 to the 2024 election cycle. The survey, conducted by APIAVote, AAPI Data, AAJC, and AARP, notes that only 46% of Indian Americans plan to vote for Biden in the upcoming election, a significant drop from 65% in 2020.

This decline is the largest among all Asian-American ethnic groups. Surprisingly, support for Donald Trump among Indian Americans saw a slight increase, rising to 31% from 30% over the same period. Despite this, Trump's favorability rating has only marginally improved from 28% in 2020 to 30% in 2024.

The diminishing support for Biden is notable, especially considering the sizable presence of Indian Americans in battleground states. Asian Americans, including Indian-Americans, are an increasingly important voting bloc, having grown 15% in the last four years and turning out in record numbers for the 2020 election, which was crucial to Biden's victory.
