In a significant breakthrough, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has apprehended three more individuals, including a shooter involved in the March 14 attack on former Congress MLA Bamber Thakur, police announced. The assault on Thakur took place at his wife's government residence in Bilapsur during Holi celebrations.

The attack left Thakur with a leg injury, while his personal security officer, Sanjeev Kumar, sustained multiple bullet wounds. Among those arrested is Ajay, who was detained in Rohtak, Haryana, following extensive raids. Two others, Saurabh Patial and Kuldeep, were also taken into custody as the investigation continues.

Authorities have made a total of seven arrests but are still on the hunt for two shooters involved. Investigations have led to the capture of several suspects and crucial digital evidence, as the police work diligently to solve the case and bring all perpetrators to justice.
