The Navi Mumbai police have successfully uncovered a prostitution racket, arresting three individuals while rescuing three women from forced exploitation, an official announced on Friday.
Following a lead, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell conducted a raid at a lodge in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The operation involved using a decoy customer to verify reports of illegal activity, according to an official press statement.
Among those arrested were lodge manager Bunty Saw, cook Kumar Gauda, and agent Tarapada Das. Authorities are actively searching for a fourth suspect, Vicky, believed to be linked to the racket. The rescued women have been relocated to a government-run facility for rehabilitation and support.
