Senior BJP leader V Muraleedharan called for the Kerala government to enforce the recently passed legislation aimed at curbing illegal migration into the state. He highlighted the influx of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, noting that they often pose as guest workers.
Muraleedharan emphasized that the new Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025, passed by the Lok Sabha, needs stringent implementation to maintain security and public safety. He accused illegal immigrants of contributing to drug-related issues in Kerala.
The BJP leader also criticized the UDF's response, alleging they were protecting key political figures. He urged the ruling CPI(M) and Congress to take decisive action against the drug menace in the state.
