An inquiry has clarified that an incident involving NCC cadets at a training camp in Kochi, originally reported as food poisoning, was due to dehydration. Misinterpretations led to a frenzy at the site.
The camp at KMM College, led by Lieutenant Colonel Karneyil Singh, faced unrest as parents, media personnel, and student activists intervened based on erroneous reports. The situation escalated, resulting in violent altercations.
The NCC has since controlled the situation, filing an FIR against those who disrupted proceedings. Two arrests have been made for assaults during the chaos.
