At the 10th CII Water Innovation Summit, A K K Meena from the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department reported that the Jal Jeevan Mission has provided water connections to 79% of India's households.
Meena emphasized that with access nearing universality, effective water management strategies at both household and community levels are crucial.
He also noted that best practices from private companies will guide micro utilities in maintaining quality and sustainability, with a focus on handling and conserving water efficiently.
