In a landmark ruling on Wednesday, the Himachal Pradesh High Court nullified the appointment of six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, citing the governing law as void.

A division bench, consisting of Justices Vivek Thakur and B C Negi, ordered an immediate cessation of all facilities and privileges previously afforded to the CPSs.

The judgment declared the Himachal Pradesh Parliamentary Secretaries Act of 2006 void, with Justice Bipin Chander Negi labeling the appointments as usurpers of public property.
